Last week I randomly browsed for expired domain names, and came across cynicalstuff.com. I really wanted to have awesomestuff.com or coolstuff.com, but of course they were already registered. Registered, mind you, but not used for anything worthwhile; I could not connect to awesomestuff at all, and coolstuff was filled with nonsense. I had great plans for my page filled with awesome and cool stuff. Instead I am stuck with my cynism and my depressingly normal blog page.

It seems like people who have the drive to register good domain names never have the ability to actually make something of them. Unless, of course, we are talking a very niched area; in those rare cases, people do manage to register an appropriate domain name and provide interesting content. I would give you an example now if I could be arsed. It is much more amusing to give an example of the opposite: go to coolstuff.com and look around. Do you find it very cool? Nor do I. I would have put up some seriously cool stuff there, myself. Like, a list of all the great stuff from the 80s that people rarely remember these days. Or a list of the greatest unknown bands that most people have missed. But noooo… Instead I am stuck here.
